We will be adding to our list of current Shareholders and Directors as the business grows, and shareholding opportunities could also become available in new businesses we start or invest in,  as a reward for a unique idea, and introduction to an investment partner, innovative strategy, strong work ethic or team and department restructuring.

A word from our Chief Executive -

“My name is Tom Underhill, and I am Chief Executive for the Marches Business Group.  I am responsible for the overall success of all the brands and businesses within our group and help my team make a wide range of managerial decisions.

This may sound cheesy but is genuinely coming from my heart and is how I feel.  I wake up every day feeling very privileged in having a job I enjoy so much and living in a country that gives us so much opportunity.  One of the main factors that motivates me to keep growing and developing businesses is to try and give other people the opportunity of having a job and career that they enjoy equally as much as me.  I also enjoy learning from the wide variety of experiences my job involves and trying to evolve as a better person on a daily basis.

The other advantages of being a director / shareholder and running your own business is if you do this well the financial reward will be good, giving yourself financial security.  Also, it means at times you have certain flexibilities as you don’t necessarily answer to anyone.  In my opinion, good business owners are positive, good problem solvers, quick at getting things done and care a lot about their team, customers and suppliers, I also think it’s important not to take yourself too seriously.

There can be a lot going on when running a business, it’s not for the faint hearted so for anyone who worries a lot about pressure or struggles to process lots of information, then a different career path may be a better option, but either way it’s important to do something that you can enjoy and enables you to thrive.”
