Our warehouse teams are made up of roles ranging from assistants to managerial, including temporary staff and work experience candidates.
The nature of our business dictates that we have multiple teams within the warehouses, each team responsible for ensuring their department runs smoothly and delivers what is needed of them.
We often have a combination of full-time and part-time opportunities available in one or more of the teams, with salaries starting from at £16,000 up to £100,000 per annum.
With no qualifications necessary, our warehouse is an excellent place to start and gain operational experience. This, along with all round business knowledge and a number of key skills and attributes provide excellent grounding for becoming a Shareholder/ Business Owner/ Director.

Warehouse teams play an instrumental part in any business, without operational expertise, planning and organisation within this department, service delivery across the rest of the business can be seriously impacted.
A common perception of a role within a warehouse is that it’s an easy, entry level position. Regardless, it’s an excellent place to start within a business working towards progressing and developing your career, whether that be within the warehouse or elsewhere in the business.
We have several team members that started in our warehouse, and have progressed in to roles including a Supervisor that oversees our Quality Control Team, our Shop and Showroom Supervisor, and our From The Anvil Sales Manager.
Roles can involve anything from picking, packing and dispatch of goods, to planning and organising huge logistical projects, and everything in between that happens behind the scenes. Being organised and efficient is key, as this part of a business is often relied upon to meet customer expectations when it comes to delivery of the product or service offered.
A warehouse role doesn’t require any specific experience or qualification, just a combination of the following attributes and key skills:
Motivated with a strong work ethic.
Excellent attention to detail.
Good organisational skills and ability to follow process.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

“My role within the “From the Anvil” warehouse involves working as part of a team of Warehouse Assistants led by our Team Coordinator and Warehouse Supervisor to carry out various daily tasks to ensure all the customers orders are dispatched accurately and punctually.
My regular daily tasks consist of:
Re-filling the shelves from which we pick orders to ensure the stock is kept to the required level.
Making sure all the consumable items we use e.g., packing boxes, tape guns, labels etc are ready for myself and the warehouse team to use throughout the day.
Picking and packing goods while maintaining a high level of attention to detail ensuring all the correct goods reach the customer in perfect condition.
Dispatching orders using our fully integrated software system OGL.
Helping other departments within the warehouse such as the Goods In team when required to ensure the warehouse is running smoothly.
Assisting my colleagues within my team with challenges that arise throughout the working day.
