For the right candidate, the role of ‘Office Manager’ serves as a strategic stepping stone in testing your team management capabilities, where excellence in sales, people organisation, business understanding, cross departmental communication and agile problem solving, combined with comprehensive knowledge of our products, processes and customer demographics will position you for advancement to a more senior role within our company.  The natural progression from this role would be to a ‘Director’ position, including ‘People Director,’ ‘Sales Director’ or ‘Managing Director.’

The Role:

With proven experience in people management, genuine interest in business and a strong sales orientated mindset, in this dynamic and hands on leadership role you will oversee day to day operations across our Sales and Customer Service teams; inspiring high performance, fostering a positive and productive work setting while contributing to the ongoing sales growth and success of our diverse business group.

This role goes beyond traditional office management and represents an exciting challenge to quickly learn four successful brands: From The Anvil, Marches Ironmongery, Period Property Store and Hand Forged, each with unique products and omnichannel sales across B2B and B2C markets. Your role will involve streamlining internal processes, resolving operational challenges, and ensuring smooth collaboration between departments by identifying areas for improvement, supporting sales initiatives, and maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers, while developing team performance and ensuring a motivated and well-supported team culture.  This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast pace, commercially driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

To increase sales revenue within the Internal Sales Team, your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Sales and Customer service teams, working collaboratively with the Accounts, Warehouse and Purchasing teams.

  • Take ownership and implement operational processes and procedures to enhance team efficiency and service quality that align with company strategy.

  • Act as a point of escalation for complex customer, supplier, or interdepartmental issues, resolving them efficiently and professionally.

  • Plan and deliver strategic training sessions to strengthen product knowledge, sales and commercial awareness within your team to drive business revenue across our From The Anvil, Marches Ironmongery, Period Property Store and Hand Forged brands.

  • Track and evaluate sales performance, figures and team KPIs, preparing monthly reports and contributing to management meetings with insights and strategic recommendations.

  • Mentor team members through structured Career Development meetings to improve their skills and performance, with the aim to develop those below you to be equal to or better than yourself.

  • Manage team-related administrative tasks such as managing holiday schedules, monitoring absences, supporting performance discussions, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to execute strategic business initiatives and recommend improvements or new solutions that support business growth and scalability.

Package & Perks:
