At Marches Business Group, we build and grow businesses we believe in. Two of our core companies, From The Anvil and Marches Ironmongery, design, manufacture and supply architectural hardware to joiners, door and window manufacturers, and ironmongery resellers across the UK.

We are seeking a highly organised and systems-focused Logistics & Projects Executive to support the ongoing performance, efficiency and continuous improvement of our warehouse operations.

The Role

You will play a central role in supporting the day-to-day logistics and operational flow of the warehouse, ensuring that goods are received, stored and dispatched efficiently and accurately. Additionally, you will contribute to and help deliver internal projects aimed at improving efficiency, accuracy and scalability within the logistics function.

This role sits at the intersection of operations and continuous improvement, with a focus on the evolution of the warehouse, enhancing efficiency and supporting the ongoing development of warehouse systems and ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, coordination and delivery of warehouse improvement projects, with a focus on efficiency and automation.

  • Facilitate the effective use of warehouse systems and technology, including WMS and barcode solutions.

  • Analyse operational performance, identifying inefficiencies, bottlenecks or risks and proposing practical improvements.

  • Maintain project documentation, tracking progress and outcomes to ensure structured delivery.

  • Maintain accurate system data to support effective inventory management and operational reporting.

  • Assist with inventory organisation, ensuring stock is positioned efficiently based on demand and usage and subsequent handling time.

  • Support the coordination and optimisation of inbound and outbound logistics to ensure timely and accurate dispatch of goods.

  • Work closely with Warehouse, Purchasing, Sales and Workshop teams to ensure effective communication and operational alignment.

  • Provide support in maintaining a safe, clean and compliant warehouse environment, in line with health and safety standards and operational procedures.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive individual with a strong understanding of logistics and warehouse operations and a keen interest in systems and process improvement. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to manage systems, data and multiple priorities, while proactively identifying and driving operational improvements.

The ideal candidate will also have a strong understanding of MS Excel, with a proven track record of delivering time-sensitive projects, and the ability to understand business impact, work within operational frameworks and compliance requirements, and utilise software effectively.

Salary, Bonus & Benefits

£30,000-£40,000 (depending on experience), plus company-wide bonus linked to overall annual sales growth of the group. You’ll be part of Marches Business Group, with access to the wider benefits and support that come with working for a growing, people-focused group.

Location & Travel

We are based at LD1, Mid Wales. Role requires attendance at HQ, Mon-Fri 8:15am – 4:45pm.
