External Sales Executive
From the Anvil & Marches Ironmongery – part of the Marches Business Group
At Marches Business Group, we build and grow businesses we believe in. Two of our core companies, From The Anvil and Marches Ironmongery, design, manufacture and supply architectural hardware and joinery supplies to joiners, door and window manufacturers, and ironmongery resellers across the UK.
We’re looking for two External Sales Executives to grow relationships with existing customers and bring our products to new ones. This is a hands-on field sales role, focused on understanding how customers work and how we can support them better.
The Role
You’ll spend 3–4 days per week visiting customers across your territory, with the rest of the week following up on quotes, prices, and next steps with the help of our internal team. You’ll work with existing accounts, warm leads from our internal systems, and new opportunities you identify yourself, helping grow sales steadily over time.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Grow accounts by understanding needs and introducing relevant products.
Visit new and existing customers, following up visits with pricing, lead times, and actionable next steps.
Identify and develop new business opportunities.
Keep clear records so the wider team can support your activity.
What We’re Looking For
Experienced in field or external sales, organised, confident in commercial conversations, and motivated to grow long-term relationships. You’ll enjoy autonomy but also collaborating with an internal team to deliver results.
Salary, Commission & Benefits
Salary (dependent on experience) plus commission on annual sales growth of your customer base. Company car provided. You’ll be part of Marches Business Group, with access to the wider benefits and support that come with working for a growing, people-focused group.
We are based at LD1, Mid Wales. Initial training would be required at HQ, and 1–2 visits per month depending on location and the needs of business following your training period. Regular UK travel and overnight stays required.
