For the right candidate, the role of ‘Business Development Coordinator’ serves as a strong foundation for gaining an in depth understanding of our sales and business growth strategies. With a strong understanding of our customer relationships, product offering and processes coupled with effective business development practices and proactive sales initiatives, you could be in a position for possible advancement to a more senior role within the company. The Role:

As a Business Development Coordinator, you will play a key role in driving opportunities that support the long-term growth of our business. Primarily based in our Internal Sales Office, you will quickly learn and contribute to our successful brands, Marches Ironmongery and From The Anvil, gaining exposure to both B2B and B2C markets. You will actively be involved in daily sales development by managing customer enquiries, generating new sales and proactively targeting potential customers, helping to convert opportunities into measurable revenue.

In addition to your internal responsibilities, you will take your sales expertise on the road, visiting customers to strengthen relationships, identify new business opportunities, and provide tailored solutions that meet their needs. This role offers a unique, hands-on experience, combining effective sales execution and business development skills while playing a pivotal role in expanding our market presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales by managing and processing inbound and outbound enquiries with a proactive, customer focused approach.

  • Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and repeat business to maximise revenue from existing customers.

  • Identify new business opportunities and convert them into sales through targeted engagement and product presentations.

  • Follow up on sales visits with proposals, quotes, or next-step actions to maintain momentum and close deals.

  • Gather market insights, competitor information, and customer feedback to inform sales strategy.

  • Support business development by researching prospects, analysing trends, customer data and qualifying leads, maintaining an organised pipeline of opportunities.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth processes, timely communication, and alignment across departments.

  • Contribute to ongoing team development by sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues, and fostering a positive and productive culture.

Package & Perks:
