We are seeking a temporary ‘Accounts Coordinator’ to provide maternity cover, with a focus on general accounts-based tasks using our internal company software. The expected duration of the contract is from September 2025 through to January or February 2027.

While this is a fixed-term maternity cover position, the role of ‘Accounts Coordinator’ offers a strong foundation for gaining an in-depth understanding of our business, where excellence in accounts processing, data led accuracy, strong organisational skills and agile problem solving, combined with comprehensive knowledge of data analysis, accounting systems and cross departmental collaboration could position the right individual for advancement within our company. The Role:
As an Accounts Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and accurate operation of our accounting processes. This hands-on role is vital in maintaining strong relationships, supporting business accuracy and ensuring our operational standards are upheld. You will be responsible for processing invoices, resolving discrepancies and working closely with internal teams, maintaining seamless communication both internally and externally. You will contribute to accounting functions to manage customer and supplier accounts and maintain cash flow through accurate and timely management of your work.
With a strong understanding of accounting procedures and a collaborative mindset, you will uphold the integrity of our records, drive efficiency, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our bookkeeping operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your accounting and wider business expertise in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately process invoices and statements and liaise with customers and suppliers regarding invoice queries and payment schedules.
Ensure data is processed accurately, liaising with relevant departments to resolve any inconsistencies.
Prepare and process weekly and monthly payment runs, ensuring suppliers are paid within agreed timeframes and that supplier accounts are regularly reconciled, with any discrepancies promptly addressed.
Support Credit Control, including monitoring debt reports, chasing outstanding payments via phone and email, allocating receipts, maintaining customer accounts and responding to customer queries.
Assist with other accounts processes, such as various POS functions, maintaining company expense records, conducting reconciliations and spreadsheet work.
Answering phone calls, emails, letters and other communications.
Support internal teams with supplier and customer account-related queries.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounts processes and procedures.
Package & Perks:
£20,000 - £30,000 dependant on experience.
